One on One in clinic programs for children 1 1/2 to 18:
An individualized program will be developed based on observation and assessment of the child.  The principles of Applied behavior analysis, direct instruction, and floortime will be used in the programs.  The program will be implemented in 2 hour one on one sessions.  There will be weekly consultation by the program specialist and monthly consultation by the director in order to track progress, make revisions and conduct further training.  Daily reports will be sent home by the therapist, and weekly and monthly reports will be sent home by the program specialist and the director.

Session will run as follows:
8:30 to 10:30 (M-F)
10:45 to 12:45 (M-F)
1:15 to 3:15 (M-F)
3:30 to 5:30 (M-TH)

Parents may sign their child up for as many sessions as they would like, based on availability.

Home Services:
An individualized program will be developed based on observation and assessment of the child.  The principles of Applied behavior analysis, direct instruction, and floortime will be used in the programs. The program will be implemented in the home by HANDS therapists.  If parents already have a therapist or caregiver whom they would like to use as a therapist, training will be provided for that person(s).  In addition, monthly consultations will be provided by either the program specialist or the director.  Consultations include observation of the therapy session, review of the program, program revision, and further training if needed.  A progress report will be sent to the parents after each consultation.

Social Skills groups for children ages 3 to 15:
Weekly social skills groups will be held for children ages 3 to 18.  There will be 2 preschool social groups for children ages 3 to 5, an elementary school social group for children ages 6 to 11, and an adolescent social skills group for ages 12 to 18 (because this is such a wide age range, the elementary and adolescent groups will split up based on age if needed).  Each session will be 2 hours in length.

School Services:
Behavioral training and consultations in school settings will be provided by the program specialist and/or the director.  Services include observation, meetings with all staff involved, a written behavior plan and follow-up consultation.  Training will also be provided for teachers and school staff.

Monthly informational workshops for parents and professionals:
Monthly workshops will be conducted on various topics.  Participants will be asked for their input for upcoming topics.  Each workshop will be 2 hours in length and will include topics such as discrete trial teaching, floortime, PECS, diet information, biomedical research, and classroom management. The workshops will be held on the first Thursday of the month from 8:30am to 10:30am.

Parent Support Groups:
Monthly support groups will be held for parents with a child with autism or other neuro-developmental disorder.   It will be a time for parents to talk with one another, meet new friends, and relax. Mom’s Coffee group will be the second Wednesday of the month from 8:30am to 10:30am.

We will begin this group at HANDS, but if parents would like to have meeting at other venues, that can be arranged.

BCBA Supervision and Practicum Sight:
Supervision and practicum hours will be offered to students eligible to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  Students will work on developing, writing, and implementing the one on one programs, assist in social skills groups and parent support groups.  They will be supervised by the Director.
