Courtney Dees King, MS, BCBA has been providing therapy and consultation services to children with autism since 1996. Upon graduation from the University of Alabama she moved to Birmingham, where she worked as the information and referral coordinator for the Autism Society while completing her Master’s Degree in behavior Psychology from Jacksonville State University. She received her certification as a behavior analyst in 2004.
HANDS has been created from the private work that Courtney has been doing in Birmingham and surrounding areas. It was formerly named Autism Educational services and a sole proprietorship, it will now be HANDS, LLC.
HANDS is being created out of great need for quality and affordable services for children with autism and neuro-developmental disorders. Autism occurs in 1 and 166 children and there are not enough services out there for them.
HANDS hopes to serve the children in need in Birmingham and surrounding areas and eventually in the Montgomery area as well.
